Getting started

Three steps. A few minutes.

  1. Get an invitation

    A friend who is already a member sends you their referral link. Open it, pick a username, and your account is created.

  2. Install and add your sources

    Download the app, then add the extensions you choose. Laststream provides no content: it reads whatever you configure.

  3. Hit play

    Pick a title: sources are sorted for you and the best one starts automatically, based on your connection.

For the family

For the whole family.

Everyone has their own profile. The youngest ones have theirs, well protected.

  • One profile per person. Library, playback progress and settings are separate; extensions are shared.
  • A kids profile. Content is filtered by age, based on age ratings when they are available.
  • A code to get out. The kids profile opens neither extensions nor settings, and you can only leave it with the code.
  • Recommendations for everyone. A daily list for each profile.

You can't sign up freely: each account has 4 referral links to give away.

  • 4 links per account. You'll find them in Settings, under "My invitations".
  • Clear tracking. Each link is free, sent or used. You can copy it, share it or revoke it.
  • No link yet? Ask the person who told you about Laststream.

Together

Watch with the people you love.

Friends, messages, shared libraries and watch party: available now. Simple, and under your control.

  • With an account. Social features require a Laststream account; only a watch party guest can do without one.
  • Not from a kids profile. Friends, messages and watch party are not available from a kids profile.
  • Your own sources. Each participant watches with their own sources: nothing is shared between accounts.
  • Private by default. Your library stays private until you choose to share it.

    1. Download the APK file to your phone or tablet.
    2. Open it. Android will ask you to allow installation from this source: choose "Allow from unknown sources" (or "Allow from this source") for your browser.
    3. Confirm the installation, then open Laststream.

How do I get an account?

Sign-up is by invitation. Ask the person who told you about Laststream for a referral link: each account has 4.

Does Laststream provide movies and TV shows?

No. Laststream hosts no content: it is a player and catalog that read the extensions you configure yourself. You are responsible for what you add and for respecting copyright laws in your country.

Does my data follow me from one device to another?

Yes: playback progress, lists and settings are synced with your account.

Is there an app for iPhone, Mac or Linux?

A native app is planned. In the meantime, the web version installs like an app and works very well.

How are sources chosen?

The sources from your extensions are sorted by language, then by quality, then by size. Laststream automatically starts the best one that suits your current connection speed, and you can always pick another one from the list.

Do my Stremio add-ons work?

Yes. Laststream reads add-ons in the Stremio format: paste the URL of the add-on's manifest, and its catalogs and sources are added to the app.

Do I need an extra service to watch?

It depends on the extensions you configure. Laststream does not provide any such service: it's up to you to choose your sources and, if they require them, the accounts that go with them.

How does the kids profile work?

You create a kids profile alongside yours. It only shows content suited to its age, based on the age ratings available, it doesn't open extensions or settings, and you can only leave it with a code.

Are friends and watch party available?

Yes. Friends, messages, activity feed, shared libraries and watch party are available with an account, but not from a kids profile. Your library stays private by default and each participant watches with their own sources: nothing is shared between accounts.

Do I need an account to join a watch party?

No. A guest can join a watch party without an account, through the invitation link you send them. They watch with their own sources.

How are the apps updated?

On Windows, updates are automatic. On Android, the app offers you the new version and installs it in one tap. The web version is always up to date.
